The Bulldog Bolt

We are thrilled to kick off our 11th Annual Bulldog Bolt Fundraiser on September 5th, 2025! This cherished tradition brings together our families, staff, and community partners to support the vibrant learning environment at Waverly Belmont Elementary School. Our goal this year is to raise $125,000—funds that will directly impact the lives of our students and the quality of their education. Last year, your generous support helped us enhance classroom technology and fund professional development for our teachers and staff. We also contributed to the installation of a new soccer field, significantly improving safety and play opportunities for our students.

What Your Donations Will Support
Here’s how your contributions will make a difference:

Critical Staffing Support
We are funding 50% of a new addition this year, a Communities in Schools (CIS) staff member. CIS will provide wraparound services to students facing barriers to success—connecting families with food, housing, and mental health resources.

Playground Expansion
A new Tennessee law now requires 40 minutes of daily recess for elementary students. To meet this mandate, we must expand and improve our outdoor play spaces. We are setting aside funds to begin this transformation, ensuring safe, engaging, and inclusive play for all.

Student Equity & Basic Needs
Many of our students face challenges beyond the classroom. Your donations help us:
- Provide food, uniforms, and daily necessities through our Backpack Program.
- Offer club scholarships and support for extracurriculars, ensuring every child can participate regardless of financial circumstances.

Staff & Classroom Support
We continue to fund the Teacher Request Fund for classroom materials, the Principal Discretionary Fund for school-wide needs, and the Teacher Appreciation & Lounge Supplies to foster a supportive environment for our educators.
